Roxy Music were an English rock band formed in 1971 by Bryan Ferry, who became the band’s lead vocalist and chief songwriter, and bassist Graham Simpson. Alongside Ferry, the other longtime members were Phil Manzanera (guitar), Andy Mackay (saxophone and oboe) and Paul Thompson (drums and percussion), and other former members include Brian Eno (synthesizer and “treatments”), Eddie Jobson (synthesiser and violin), and John Gustafson (bass). Although the band took a break from group activities in 1976 and again in 1983.

The High Road is a live EP by the English rock band Roxy Music. Recorded at the Apollo in Glasgow, Scotland on 30 August 1982 during the band’s Avalon tour, it features four tracks. Two of the songs are covers, including Roxy Music’s no.1 hit version of John Lennon‘s “Jealous Guy” and Neil Young‘s “Like A Hurricane“. A Bryan Ferry solo effort was also included, originally released on his 1978 album The Bride Stripped Bare. The EP reached number 26 on the UK Album Charts.
